Join me - Emma Cook (The Tiny Turner) -  LIVE as I take you through the steps of making one of my signature 'cupcake' boxes.

The turning section of the box is suitable to turners of all skill levels, and the carving (which is optional) uses minimal tools and is a good introduction to hand carving.

During this online demonstration, I aim to teach you: 

• How to turn a simple, push fit box as a base ready for carving
• A brief introduction to the carving chisels being used for the project
• How to hand carve the decoration of both the lid and the base of the box - going through 2 options of lid style 
• How to turn a cherry to place on top of the box

These boxes can be as simple or complex as you wish - the carving part is even optional should you not have the tools to complete it, and they make wonderful gifts!

The demonstration will take place via Zoom. You do not need a camera or microphone in order to watch, BUT it is always better if you do have access to them as these demos are interactive so it will give you a better opportunity to ask questions either during the demonstration, or afterwards.

You DO NOT have to pay anything to Zoom to watch this demonstration - once you have purchased your ticket, you will be sent the link which contains your meeting ID and password so you can join the masterclass.

The Zoom meeting will be open 10 minutes prior to the start time - this will give you time to join, have a friendly natter with fellow woodturners and make sure your equipment is working properly. The demonstration will last between 1.5 and 2.5 hours (approximately).

Once the class is over, I will edit the demonstration and send you a link to be able to watch it at your convenience for a maximum of 30 days.
